Carrig have long been associated with the engineering, repairs and conservation of historic buildings and structures. Our strength lies in understanding the behaviour of traditional materials and components and applying measures to strengthen structures or successfully merge and integrate new build.

Carrig undertake analytical investigations of historic buildings and material failures including calculating loads and stresses, investigating foundations, beams and all major components to a building. We provide structural surveys and appraisals, with recommendations on conservation, repairs, stablising, technical detailing, complete with specifications and schedules of work.

Conservation engineering demands creative designs and practical approaches that are interlinked with advancing techniques. We specialise in conservation restoration, renovations and conversion projects. Many of our projects to date include protected structures and recorded monuments.
