Carrig assist architects, engineers and planners on reviewing proposals and make clear observations and recommendations in line with Best Practice and Architectural Heritage Protection guidelines. The Heritage Impact Statement takes into account the relationship with the new build or neighbouring structures. Theses statements are typically are obligatory in planning applications.
Design Comment
This is a process that Carrig seek to get actively involved with at the earliest possible stage of a project where there are proposals for new build elements or intervention with surviving materials. By constantly reviewing design drawings or sketches, this advisory service feeds the client with essential information from a conservation perspective. The early feedback can have dramatic implications on the projects’ objectives both from a design and financial view.
